Polo shirt, polo or polo T-shirt?

These are three words for the same thing: a T-shirt with a collar and buttons at the neck.

Cotton or cool effect?

Most polo shirts are made of cotton, and many contain a small amount of elastane, so they stretch. Cool Effect polo shirts are technical and made from polyester or nylon, which wick away sweat and dry quickly. North 56°4 It’s a cool, stylish polo shirt with a small zip at the neck that’s easy to open and close, and a chest pocket that’s handy for cards and glasses.

Easy care: dries quickly

Casa Modas Easy-care polo shirts are made from a blend of cotton and polyester and dry quickly after washing. The short-sleeved ones with a pocket are made from 55 % cotton and 45 % polyester and can be washed at 40 degrees. The long-sleeved versions are made from 62 % cotton and 38 % polyester and can be washed at 30 degrees. For several of the short-sleeved styles, Casa Moda recommends going up a size if you usually wear North 56°4.

Long-sleeved polo shirt

Long-sleeved polo shirts are available in easy-care and flat-knit cotton, with a short zip, a chest pocket and contrasting trim on the collar. Roberto Jeans’ long-sleeved polo shirts can be worn under a jumper or on their own, and they also look great with a blazer over the top.

Striped, black and with a pocket

Some polo shirts have a chest pocket, and some have a contrasting trim on the collar and sleeves. You can choose from striped polo shirts, plain polo shirts in navy or black, or a rugby polo shirt.

Sizes and NUMBERS

Casa Modas and Roberto Jeans’ polo shirts are available in sizes M to 6XL, North Latitude’s and North 56°4’s in sizes XL to 8XL, and Athletes Collective’s in sizes M to 8XL. What’s the difference between a ‘cool effect’ polo shirt and a normal polo shirt?
